Riesling Brand Grand Cru 2005

Alc: 14%

Developing nose with aromas of honey, perfume and peach. Dry palate, medium acidity, high alcohol and full body. Prnonounced flavours of grapefruit and black pepper.

A powerful but somewhat unbalanced wine. Does not have enough acidity to balance the alcohol and concentration of fruit. Tastes very heavy and overextracted.

Riesling Heimbourg 2005

Alc: 12.5%

Youthful, flowery aromas with peach fruit and hints of honey. Dry but hints of residual sugar are noticable. Good balance of alcohol, acidity and body, all on a medium level. Medium intensity of minerality, grapefruit and ripe apple.

Elegant wine with refreshing fruit, fine mineral notes and a nice spicy finish. Drink now or keep 3-5 years.

Good - very good.
