Youthful nose. Medium intensity of grapefruit, lime, minerals. Dry. Medium acidity, body and alcohol. Flavors of grapefruit and black pepper. Fairly long length.
Very good. Refreshingly clean fruit and well balanced. Satisfying spicy finish on a relatively long length. Drink now or keep for 5-10 years.
Beautiful aromas of ripe apple, grapefruit, flowers, wood. Dry. Medium(+) acidity, medium body. Flavors of ripe apple, citrus and pepper. Long length with a peppery finish.
Very good. What a pleasure that wine was. Flowery fruit aromas venerably framed by a faint smell of old wood. Lasting spicy flavors. It's perfect now but in 5-7 years this could be a stunning wine.
Developed nose. Aromas of bitter orange, pear, minerals and hints of rose petals. Dry albeit with hints of residual sugar. Medium to low acidity. Medium body and medium(+) alcohol. Pear flavors and creamy mouthfeel.
Average to good. Very exciting aromas but unfortunately that did not translate to the palate, which was rather monosyllabic in regard to fruit and also too heavy. I was surprised that the alcohol content was only 12% as it felt much higher. This wine shows again that 2003 was not an easy year. Drink now.
