Saarburger Rausch Riesling Kabinett 2005

Medium lemon color. Pronounced intensity of minerality, apricot and lychee. Sweet, high acidity, light body and low alcohol. Medium intensity of minerality, stone fruit and blossoms. Medium length with citrus notes shinging through towards the end. Drink now through 2020.

Very harmonious. The minerality with its hint of flint gives the pronounced fruit character a wonderfully chiseled edge. The residual sugar and the acidity are so perfectly balanced. If such beauty exists on the so-called basic quality level of German wine, life can't be all that bad.

Excellent
Alcohol: 8%. Price: $14 (375ml). Tasted: May 2008.
