Meddersheimer Rheingrafenberg Quarzit Riesling 2005

Pale lemon color. Small bubbles. Youthful nose of flint, dried apricot. Off-dry, medium(+) acidity. Light body, low alcohol. Medium intensity of quince and minerals. Medium(+) length with a sweet apricot finish. Drink now through 2012.

Residual sugar and acidity are perfectly balanced, resulting in a refreshing sweet / lush cutting taste. Very high quality for a QbA wine and a fantastic value for this price ($14).

Very good.

Meddersheimer Rheingrafenberg Spätlese 2005

Youthful nose with hay and citrus aromas. Sweet on the palate. Medium(+) acidity. Creamy peach and pepper flavors. Long length.

Wonderful balance of fruit and acidity, both very pronounced. The combination of creamy fruit and pepper is very attractive. Drink now or keep 15-20 years.

Very good.
